Spring Valley Hospital Adds 36 New Private Rooms
Spring Valley Hospital has opened a new patient care unit, adding 36 private rooms on the third floor especially for orthopedic and spine surgery patients. The expansion increases the hospital’s licensed bed count to 328, making it the second largest hospital in The Valley Health System.
“With the expansive growth in southwest Las Vegas and our nearby tourist population on the Las Vegas Strip, this expansion helps us meet the needs of the people we serve, and increase our community’s access to care,” said Leonard Freehof, CEO/Managing Director of Spring Valley Hospital.
The new orthopedic unit is part of the four-story patient tower that opened in June 2016, which added a private, 24-hour entrance to The BirthPlace, 18 additional mother-baby rooms, easy access to all maternity and neonatal intensive care unit services on the first floor, and 36 private rooms on the second floor for medical and surgical patients. The four-story tower will be completely built out later this month, adding a final 36 private rooms to the fourth floor.
